Dear Friends,
Work continues on gradually expanding upon the Metaconsciousness Myth. In response to The Lucifer Principle: A Scientific Expedition Into the Forces of History by Howard Bloom, which recently came to my attention, I have today released Metaconsciousness: Mythology for a Post-Civilized World, V 0.02; which differs from V 0.01 primarily in a major expansion of chapter "2. Is Civilization Committing Suicide?".
"Subsequent to having written the previous two chapters," I wrote, "a prequel to Bloom's Global Brain has come to my attention, which at once supplies abundant additional confirmation of the Metaconsciousness Myth, and confronts it with some sobering facts and observations."
Meanwhile, I have encountered another highly stimulating work, The Chalice and the Blade by Riane Eisler, which speaks profoundly to the thesis being developed in Metaconsciousness: Mythology for a Post-Civilized World, and in due course will prompt a similar near-future expansion of chapter "11. Lessons From History". This second revision is still in the pipeline, as I have not yet finished reading Eisler's book; so stay tuned!
Again, I want to invite and encourage your collaborative input in this project to develop an "open-source mythology" for a post-civilized world. Thank you for your time, attention, and your participation.
The preceding is another edition of an accumulating collection of "Dear Friends" letters addressed to subscribers to the Freedom Digital Library distribution list. To subscribe, or unsubscribe, send an e-mail stating your wish to [address obfuscated], and I will add your e-mail address to, or subtract it from, the current distribution list.
The communications you receive from me via e-mail will be brief, will not include any attachments, and will (with possible minor exceptions) merely inform subscribers that there is a new "Dear Friends" letter posted to the "Dear Friends" page; with possibly a brief description of its contents. That's about it.
Love, Peace, Joy, Now,
Harmon
