"Dear Friends"

14 February 2006
Dear Friends,

A belated "Happy Valentine's Day" to one and all, a day whose blessings I hope will extend to, and be augmented by the latest edition, V 3.0.0 of Metaconsciousness: Mythology for a Post-Civilized World, which has hereby been converted into a two-volume work. In this edition, I have significantly rewritten and expanded Chapter 16, Myth of a Golden Age, and have added Chapter 17, The Myth of Human Destiny; two large chapters (Ch. 16 illustrated) drawing together many lines of thought into what I hope you will find to be stimulating and thought-provoking reading.

Metaconsciousness: Mythology for a Post-Civilized World is taking shape (for me) as an exploratory work filled with surprising discoveries and unexpected turns. I may have started out with a number of preconceived notions and concepts, yet some of these are being reshaped and modified in the course of my continuing explorations; while others are being exposed to hidden depths not glimpsed earlier. The result may not be rigorously consistent from one end to the other, yet it leaves a meandering trail of footprints in the sand which others making similar explorations may find useful, or at least "interesting." I cannot myself claim that this work has any larger significance than as an aid to my personal search. It does seem to illuminate my path, at least, and I am convinced that if I do not write it down, no one else will; and whatever value it may have to others will not be available. So I write. If others are able to extract some value from what I write, so much the better.

The preceding is another edition of an accumulating collection of "Dear Friends" letters addressed to subscribers to the Freedom Digital Library distribution list. To subscribe, or unsubscribe, send an e-mail stating your wish to [address obfuscated], and I will add your e-mail address to, or subtract it from, the current distribution list.

The communications you receive from me via e-mail will be brief, will not include any attachments, and will (with possible minor exceptions) merely inform subscribers that there is new content available at the Freedom Digital Library; with a brief description of what it is, and were. That's about it.

Love, Peace, Joy, Now,
Harmon
