Dear Friends,
I've been laboring since last June on a major overhaul and expansion of Metaconsciousness: Mythology for a Post-Civilized World, and finally, last night, and in the wee hours of this morning, have Version 5.0.0 "on the air" for your review.
As you will notice, if you visit Appendix C. Revision History of This Work, there has been an extensive reorganization of the work, including consolidating it into a single two-part, 288-page volume, and the addition of two major sections to Part II.
Additionally, I have rewritten the Introduction, consolidated a number of sections, replaced a number of graphics, particularly The Past 245,000,000 Years chart, and its derivative The Rise and Fall of Minoan Crete, which are now more sensibly presented, and consequently more informative and easier to read. And I have added two major sections to Part II of the work, II.6. The Myth of Metaconscious Evolution, and II.7. Integration of Mythologies.
The first of these, section II.6, makes a startling connection between the pioneering work of cellular biologist Dr. Bruce Lipton, and the speculation of 19th century physicist James Clerk-Malwell, on a way the effect of the second law of thermodynamics might be reversed – or rather, is being reversed throughout all biological life. (!) The second, section II.7, examines recent efforts of contemporary philosopher Ken Wilber to formulate a system of thought which might bring integration to the diverse, and often acrimoniously exclusive fields of science, religion, and spirituality.
Taken all together, if I may say so, I think interested readers may have a stimulating experience awaiting them in Version 5.0.0 of Metaconsciousness: Mythology for a Post-Civilized World. And for any who prefer visual stimulation to reading, I have added a full-color, high-resolution cover to the work, which may intuitively convey some of its spirit and intent.
The preceding is another edition of an accumulating collection of "Dear Friends" letters addressed to subscribers to the Freedom Digital Library distribution list. To subscribe, unsubscribe, or contribute commentary, send an e-mail stating your wish to [address obfuscated], and I will add your e-mail address to, or subtract it from, the current distribution list, or respond accordingly.
The communications you receive from me via e-mail will be brief, will not include any attachments, and will (with possible minor exceptions) merely inform subscribers that there is new content available at the Freedom Digital Library; with a brief description of what it is, and were. The HTML version of this letter may be viewed from the "Dear Friends" page of the Freedom Digital Library. That's about it.
Love, Peace, Joy, Now,
Harmon
