Dear Friends,

In "Peace Be Still, Part I"1 I made some comments about the relationship between money and energy. "Energy is the means of accomplishing human intent," I wrote. "It turns the wheels of industry and commerce, is vital to all manufacturing, distribution, and exchange of goods and services - not only among humans, but throughout the endless matrix of All Life. Energy is indeed the 'coin of the realm' for the entire 'Cosmic Economy'."

In the following essay, an associate and I collaborate in a development of this theme.

"Our Future Now"

by

J. Harmon Grahn & Sharie Rose Ramsey

Money is a human invention that is "valuable," not because of its intrinsic worth, but because it is by deliberate design, scarce. If money grew on trees, it would have no purchasing power, because we could all have all the money we wanted, and money would quickly lose its power. The old world / "old paradigm" mentality has clung to the belief - the sacred "law of supply and demand" - that claims value is a function of scarcity.

Expanding our awareness beyond the illusion of "scarcity," and appreciating our boundless abundance, within and without, we become clear that genuine value is not a function of scarcity. Genuine value is created within ourselves by our personal appreciation. The more we appreciate and share our love, truth, peace, happiness, brilliance, and creativity, the more we realize these are what we value most. This reveals the entire foundation of the "old paradigm market economy" as a gigantic hoax. It's a lie, founded entirely upon universal fear and mistrust.

Our fear has been that everything valuable is scarce, which has pitted each of us against all of us. Our mistrust has been that in a world of scarcity, it is impossible to live true to one's heart and soul. We mistrust ourselves, and so we mistrust one another. In other words, when we believe in the illusion of "scarcity," we believe we are not at liberty to live true to our heart and soul. When we believe we're not at liberty to live true to our heart and soul, we mistrust ourselves, and consequently mistrust one another. This is the old world / "old paradigm" mentality, and the major obstacle to living in a world of boundless love, truth, peace, happiness, brilliance, and creativity.

With distrust undermining our every human exchange, our relationships have been eating away our entire foundation for being. This misperception of genuine value has been the source of all human conflict, war, and dis-ease. The deliberate scarcity of money has contributed to the widespread human perception of the scarcity of energy, and everything else we value. The widely perceived "scarcity" of energy, which is ultimately what all forms of money represent, is an utter illusion; deliberately and artificially maintained at the cost of great effort, vigilance, and manipulation by the "masters," as a means of keeping the "slaves" ...ah, "enslaved."

Energy is in fact not scarce at all, and neither is anything else we truly value,2 including our air, water, food, land, housing, and transportation. Proven technologies3 render energy as freely available as air - with the potential to make all human action, all human endeavors, as effortlessly undertaken as breathing. This naturally necessitates a significant, rapid, and widespread awakening and spiritual maturation throughout all contemporary human society.

A world of free energy is naturally one in which the "costs" of doing practically everything humans do are precipitously reduced. Such a world works when our common perception is that injury to any part of the Whole of Life injures every part of the Whole, and therefore injures "me." Knowing this, our every endeavor is undertaken with the widest awareness of its consequences; not because "it's the law," but because it is in "my" best interest that the Whole of Life be free of injury.

This means that in Our Future Now, all manufacturing and industry are designed, tooled, and implemented from bottom to top, such that every human industrial process produces only genuinely useful products, and only byproducts of genuine usefulness to other productive processes. This is the "industrial standard" universally implemented in Nature, because it is the only standard that works, that is sustainable, and not self-destructive and self-devouring. The "industrial standard" of Nature contrasts strikingly with the "industrial standard" of the old world / "old paradigm" mentality, which has produced a deluge of products - any products at all - that "sell profitably;" and has been oblivious of virtually all byproducts, which have generally been injurious to the Whole. This of course has been a formula for catastrophe, and could not possibly have been sustained.

Our Future Now is characterized by numerous other major departures from the patterns of the "old world." Following swiftly on the heels of the "free as air" availability of energy comes widespread implementation of technologies facilitating unfettered movement from place to place about the planet. Because the "costs" of all modes of transportation are reduced to practically nothing, the use of Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL) vehicles proliferate rapidly; with the consequence, among others, that permanent dwellings in a single locality may lose their appeal for many. Certainly the maintenance of anything resembling "national borders" swiftly becomes prohibitively impractical, for the same reason it is impossible to enforce customs duties upon migrating geese. Roads, highways, and bridges are abandoned and fall quickly into disrepair due to neglect and disuse, and the sprawling metropoli that have blighted the "old world" dissolve back into the ground upon which they once sprang forth. All routes from place to place are decided in real-time by the travelers actually going there, not by urban and suburban planners and civil engineers.

Even the location of "cities," "towns," "villages," or of whatever kinds of population centers that may evolve to replace them, may be decided by entirely different kinds of considerations than had been the practice in former times. Harbors, rivers, and crossroads, for instance, may no longer provide the most favorable locations for population centers; which may form for other reasons and purposes than to facilitate "commercial exchange." With energy being "free as air," and human mobility making us "free as the birds," people may be drawn to congregate in regions of exceptional natural beauty, or of exceptionally "good vibrations," and may elect to conduct our lives so as to enhance, rather than blight such beauty spots with our presence.

Under these conditions, every "old paradigm" economic principle spontaneously morphs into something entirely different. With the "free as air" availability of energy, and unfettered mobility, money may be of significantly less practical use to many of us than it had been before now. Would you, under such circumstances, be willing to do anything not consistent with your highest joy, in order to procure a quantity of money? What would you "buy" with it, once you had some money? Would you want to "subvert" someone else's highest joy by paying them to do something they would not otherwise be willing to do? Or would you encourage others to live true to our hearts and souls?

Imagine a world where everyone is boundlessly creative, and boundlessly wealthy. This is our True Nature. Expressing our creativity freely, lavishly, and bestowing it upon any and all who appreciate it, encourages others to express their boundless creativity just as exuberantly and freely as we are. Is this not after all the example shown to us by Nature, all around us, all the time? It's nothing new. What's new, and ecstatically liberating, is for contemporary human beings to put our boundless creativity into practice in our daily lives, by sharing it freely with one another.

The science and technology which renders energy "free as air" was developed a hundred years ago by Nikola Tesla.4 This is not widely known because information about it has not been in our textbooks, schools, or media. You may wonder why the man whose inventions are the basis of our electric motors, alternating current, radio, television, computer screens, and many other electrical conveniences, is virtually unknown today. You may also wonder why his "free energy" technologies, which he demonstrated over a hundred years ago, are not yet available for personal use.

Inventors, seeing personal advantages in keeping their discoveries proprietary, have facilitated the control of information about their discoveries and devices. This is how the "slaves" have forged their own shackles. A patent limits the duplication or manufacture of an invention. Without the aid of significant capital investment, however, the inventor is seldom positioned to enjoy the financial rewards of his invention. Unless an invention is seen as advancing corporate interests, the necessary investment may not be forthcoming. Sometimes patents are purchased outright, and then deliberately not developed. The inventor, having "sold out," is then prohibited from sharing his own creativity.

Inventors with awareness, however, view the patent system of proprietary information as diminishing the benefits of their boundless creativity. Imagine a brilliant inventor or R & D team creates a prototype "Free Energy Device" that works; and imagine that, instead of making proprietary all information about this marvelous invention, they instead disperse it widely as Free Information. That is, they give full disclosure of the theory behind their Device, detailed descriptions of all its parts, and how the parts work together in a functional system; and render all this information Free for unencumbered use in any way, for any purpose - with only the provisions, a) that the Inventors be given recognition for their work, and b) that any derivative works be similarly disclosed as Free Information. How might the ensuing scenario play out?

It is at least possible, if not highly probable, that the inventors may not realize any direct "profit" from their invention. It may be developed and marketed by numerous "others," and become a "runaway best seller," and make "somebody else," or a number of "somebody elses," "a pile of cash." And none, or relatively little of this "pile of cash," may find its way back to the original inventors of the Prototype Device.

Alternatively, and/or additionally, it may develop that the Device is actually manufactured, sold, and widely distributed, and as a consequence the original inventors actually get to live in a world of free energy, along with everyone else. Further, as additional insights and discoveries are made, which result in evolutionary improvements upon the original Device - which its Inventors may never even have imagined - these too, under the original terms of the Free Information released about the Device, would necessarily be disclosed as Free Information as well. And so the Device, under the influence of the boundless creativity of many minds, then evolves and improves, and proliferates into an entire family of related Free Information inventions, rendering incalculable benefits to all humankind.

There is something you can do to move yourself, and your world, in the direction of Our Future Now, a world in which energy is "free as air," and human beings are "free as the birds." If you can appreciate how the proliferation of Free Information is a step, among others, toward manifestation of a "new world" of free energy, and boundless wealth for all, you might begin to cultivate the practice of freely sharing your boundless creativity. You have a passion for something, yes? It may be music, art, dance, poetry, invention, gardening, cooking... It could be anything. It's your creative passion, you love it, and you're good at it. If you're not yet a "virtuoso performer," you could be, at least potentially, because you love doing it, and you do whatever it takes to give it your very best.

Share the fruits of your boundless creativity with others who appreciate it, can use it, or might be stimulated by it, instead of insisting upon "making a profit" from all your creative works. Give the recipients of your creative works permission to use them any way they wish, including incorporating them in turn into derivative expressions of their own boundless creativity. This is an idea whose power may not be obvious to you at first glance, so think about it. Your boundless creativity is exactly that: boundless. So, if you share it freely, imagine all you might gain.

If living in a community appeals to you, dedicated to sharing our love, truth, peace, happiness, brilliance, and creativity; and you're happy to leave behind your dependence on the "authorities," and artificial currencies - "money" - please contact Harmon or Sharie. Our networks are moving in the direction we have outlined above, forming communities locally and globally, and would enjoy the input, participation, and company of kindred spirits.

If you have an interest in participating in a parallel project, you may wish to contribute your boundless creativity to the development of the Free Digital Library. If so, as asked in the following essay: "Where is the Free Digital Library?" Who knows? You, perhaps?

By the way, on the strength of Dr. Lindemann's Free Information essay, "The World of Free Energy,"3 I (Harmon) purchased his book, The Free Energy Secrets of Cold Electricity,5 and read it. Dr. Lindemann's book, and others he cites in his text and bibliography, form a solid basis, and exciting motivation, for an alternative education into realms of physics6 which reside entirely "off the charts" of all standard curricula. "Free energy" is a realistic, achievable goal for explorers of the Intellect and Spirit. For those of us who must live true to our heart and soul, "free energy" is a way of life expressing Our Future Now.

Love & Light,
Harmon,
Sharie

"Where is the Free Digital Library?"

by

J. Harmon Grahn

Freedom Digital Library [harmonhouse.net/fdl/]The Free Digital Library (FDL) [no longer available; "parent" to the Freedom Digital Library] is by intent and definition a globally distributed collection of Free Information. Free Information is any creative work so designated by its author. It may, by its author's intentional consent, be freely shared, copied, distributed, and/or incorporated into derivative works, which are automatically in turn likewise Free Information. Free Information is the "no strings attached" freely shared expression of its author's boundless creativity. For a fuller description of the concept, see "Introduction to the Free Digital Library."7

Additionally, or alternatively, extracted from another document at the original FDL Web site, here is a short list of observations having to do with Free Information, and how it potentially benefits alike authors and their audiences:

  1. Creative expression is the most rewarding of Human occupations.

  2. Creativity is a flow; it does not automatically come to an end at the completion of a particular project.

  3. Creative flow thrives on appreciation.

  4. There is some probability that a creative work, recognized by one as being of high quality and value, will be similarly recognized and appreciated by others.

  5. Aside from direct remuneration, there are numerous ways for an author to "profit" from the creation and distribution of Free Information:

    1. The author may be sensitive to the intrinsic humanitarian value of Free Information, without regard to its commercial value to the author. When information flows freely among human minds, and is available for adaptation, juxtaposition, collaboration, and reciprocal stimulation with complimentary Free Information from other sources, unpredictable leaps of insight, discovery, and invention often result, and everyone benefits.

Conversely, when information is sequestered or compartmentalized within labyrinths of proprietary restrictions, people suffer loss of freedom, diminished opportunity, stunted vision, among a host of disadvantages springing directly from ignorance, a condition that has not to our knowledge yet done anybody any good.

    2. The author may wish to introduce a concept to a wide audience free of charge, with an eye to commercially marketing its details. An expert in some field, for instance, may wish to make available sufficient information to demonstrate his or her expertise and stimulate wide interest in the subject. When successfully accomplished, there is reasonable certainty of being commercially rewarded through the interest stimulated by the Free Information published, for instance, in the Free Digital Library. The author's work then at once edifies the FDL Community and serves as an advertisement for the author.

    3. The author may have "Something to Say" of considerable value and importance, yet be relatively or completely "unknown." Publishing as Free Information in the Free Digital Library may be a means of gaining recognition for ideas that might not find a hearing in a more conventional venue.

    4. The author may be aware of information which he or she feels might for some reason be suppressed unless it is made broadly visible and disseminated quickly throughout the Internet.

The above list was composed with an audience in mind predominately habituated to "old paradigm" patterns of thought. In the imagined context of a "new paradigm world," as discussed in the preceding essay, "Our Future Now," in which the illusions of "scarcity" are no longer persuasive, and energy is actually "free as air," it becomes significantly more compelling.

When one is firmly seated in the perception that the greatest benefit for "me" is in all instances indistinguishable from the greatest benefit for all, then it becomes clear that Free Information generally is exponentially more beneficial than proprietary information, for one and all. "Profit," in the "old paradigm" economic sense, is no longer a factor; because in the absence of "scarcity," there is no compulsion to realize a "profit" from any human transaction. Additionally, and in particular, the widespread availability, sharing, and use of Free Information may significantly hasten the appearance, proliferation, and widespread use of Free Energy; thereby proportionately diminishing the tyrannical power of money.

Now it appears the Free Digital Library has "gone south." "Split." "Vanished." "Off the map." I don't know why, and at the moment of writing, do not know exactly how to find out. The FDL used to be accessible on the Net at www.freedigitallibrary.net. For the past couple of weeks, possibly longer, that URL returns a message to the effect that "A connection with the server could not be established."

As an interim measure, I have moved a few pages of explanatory material [no longer available] into a dedicated section of the server that hosts The New Paradigm. However, for at least the time being, the database containing links to the works designated by their authors to be part of the FDL Community Archive, is no longer accessible. To those who have submitted works to the FDL, and to those who have been using those works for research or for other purposes, I apologize for any inconvenience this interruption may cause you. I myself recently completed a fairly large project of converting a number of "WingMakers' Text Files" into HTML format, and posting the collection in the FDL for general availability. Not having access to another suitable host, I hosted those files on the Free Digital Library server as well. Now they are evidently gone; although I do have local copies of all of them on my own computer.

Perhaps I and my partner, Dave Sanders, in creating the FDL are at fault for undertaking such an ambitious project on so ridiculously frayed a shoestring. We basically had - and have - no funds available for the project. The FDL was hosted for free, as a favor to Dave, by a gracious associate in Amsterdam. Dave and I, who have never physically met, and have conducted our extended collaborative effort entirely via e-mail, had not been in communication for the past couple of months, and it took me some time and effort to reconnect with him. He recently reported to me that he has not had any reply to inquiries he has launched with his associate in Amsterdam, and that, possibly due to uncertain conditions globally, the status of the FDL is at the moment impossible to determine. Meanwhile, having ascertained that the freedigitallibrary domain has not been abandoned, I too have launched inquiries in that direction, so far without reply.

Fortunately (putting a positive face on things) the Free Digital Library, yet in but a rudimentary stage of development, was not widely known or used on the Net, and so will not be widely missed in its absence. This is just as well, for its indexing system was totally inadequate to support effective search and retrieval from a large database of Free Information widely dispersed throughout the Internet. It provided but a "thumbnail sketch" of the Library's potential - a potential still awaiting much more sophisticated programming expertise than we have had available until now.

This episode graphically illustrates the fundamental vulnerability of centralized information, and the importance not only of distributed information, which we had anticipated from the start, but also of a distributed index, which we had not. If the index is lost, then effectively, the information indexed is also lost, even though the information may not have been touched by anything, and is itself fully accessible and distributed all over the planet. Without the index to tie it all together, the entire compilation of Free Information is effectively "scattered to the winds."

The only solution for this is to have the index database, consisting of a searchable, cross-indexed list of URLs and associated descriptions of the assorted Works to which they point, mirrored on numerous servers, "the more the merrier," throughout the planet; and linked together, ideally, such that an update of one copy of the index is automatically duplicated in all. Is there anyone reading this with the ability, and the inclination, to help us bring such a system into operation?

A number of additional specific improvements to the original FDL are to be found on our "Appeal for Services" page from the original Web site [no longer available]. Included are a few measures having to do with our vision for a commercial dimension to the project, which we called the Free Digital Bookstore. For reasons elaborated in the preceding essay, I am beginning to have second thoughts about our original impulse for the Free Digital Bookstore. The idea behind it, with which I feel in undiminished harmony, is that there should definitely be ways for the authors of Free Information to prosper through their creative efforts; and engineering mechanisms to facilitate such prosperity may significantly boost the appeal of Free Information in general. However, I have certain misgivings about our original "marketing strategy," particularly when I think about the emergence of a "new paradigm world" from the ashes of the currently collapsing "old paradigm world," as discussed in "Our Future Now."

If you would like to participate in the resurrection of the Free Digital Library, do contact me; and/or bring this project to the attention of others who may be so interested. Thank you.

Love & Light,
Harmon
