8.2. As has been discussed at length above, although knowledge does not derive from books (see 2. Knowledge), their value is in no way diminished as a medium for the exchange of ideas among literate people. You will never gain knowledge from a book or any other information medium or source; but such information can nevertheless be a rich stimulus for thought, catalyst for inspiration, and/or prompt for action.
