Above is a (reduced) design detail of the HARMONHOUSETM logo, illustrating a hint, perhaps, of the precision achievable with Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG).
SVG makes possible virtual "infinite resolution" for digital graphic output, because images are rendered with vectors – lines, curves, and shapes, which may be defined with geometric precision – instead of the columns and rows of individual pixels typical of a rasterized image. A single image may thus be scaled for display on a Web page at 72 pixels per inch, and separately scaled for high-resolution print reproduction at 400 pixels per inch. |
