HARMONHOUSETM Designs
Harmon first became interested in b/w analog photography at the age of 14, stimulated by the gift of a Kodak Developing Kit from his parents. This interest has persisted and expanded down the years, and Harmon has accumulated much experience in darkrooms and behind the lenses of various video, still, cine, 35mm and 16mm, and large-format graphics cameras, in many parts of the world.
The union of photography with computers is a happy one for Harmon, as everything and more that used to be accomplished in the dark, by means of bulky equipment and wet trays of photographic chemicals, can now be accomplished in a well-lighted room, seated at a compact digital work station. An "eye" for the picture, however, and creative imagination, patience, and meticulous care, are still indispensable "tools of the trade."
"A picture is worth a thousand words," so following is a series of photographs titled Moods of Ute Mountain. Click on a thumbnail image below to view an enlarged version of the corresponding frame.
More recently, Harmon has taken an interest in recording the sweeping panoramas invited by the wide-open spaces of Northern New Mexico; of which this 360° pan is an example.
