Ute Mountain is hot.
The cloud near the sumit in this frame is not a volcanic plume, as may be suggested by appearences. Neverhteless, Ute is of volcanic origin, and is hot - literally, to the touch - right now; which is why snow never lingers for long on its upper slopes.
